Mahindra & Mahindra has unveiled a groundbreaking feature in its latest Thar Roxx AX7L variant: a 4-channel immersive audio system powered by Dolby Atmos. This innovation marks the Thar Roxx as the first SUV globally to offer such an advanced in-car audio experience.
Immersive Audio Experience
The Thar Roxx AX7L is equipped with a premium 9-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, enhanced by Dolby Atmos technology. This setup delivers a 360-degree soundscape, allowing audio to move around the cabin with remarkable depth and clarity. Whether navigating city streets or off-road trails, occupants can enjoy a concert-like experience on the move.
Integrated Streaming with Gaana
To complement the advanced audio system, Mahindra has integrated the Gaana music streaming service directly into the Thar Roxx’s infotainment system. This allows users to access Dolby Atmos-compatible tracks seamlessly, enhancing the overall entertainment experience without the need for external devices.
Performance and Variants
The Thar Roxx AX7L offers both petrol and diesel engine options:
- Petrol Variant: Powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine producing 174 bhp and 380 Nm of torque, paired exclusively with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
- Diesel Variant: Features a 2.2-litre engine delivering up to 172.45 bhp and 370 Nm of torque, available with both 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions. The diesel model also offers rear-wheel-drive and 4×4 configurations.
Pricing and Availability
The ex-showroom prices for the Thar Roxx AX7L are as follows:
- Petrol Variant: ₹20.69 lakh
- Diesel Variants: Ranging from ₹19.79 lakh to ₹23.39 lakh
Mahindra has ramped up production to meet the increasing demand for the Thar Roxx, aiming to reduce waiting periods and ensure timely deliveries to customers.
